I got a migraine on Thursday evening- the worst one I’ve had in years. I went to bed and woke up with it Friday morning. Furious, as this was my weekend specially reserved for concept and journey development, I had to go back to bed. Later Friday evening it disappeared and I went to bed really early so as to start work on the Saturday morning. Waking up on Saturday I noticed a had vision disturbance in my left eye, half my vision disappeared. This meant only one thing, I had yet another migraine. This time I took my medicine in a hope that it had time to prevent it from getting worse. Naturally they did nothing as always when I really need them to work. Saturday was also spent in bed. I was no happy bunny. I ended up having to take off the Sunday from work too.
All the while I was furious with myself and my stupid migraines by Sunday evening. All my especially reserved work days had been swallowed by migraines.
All of this now meant that we were behind all of this week. We were behind with concept and the journey decisions.
Aims
Get going with the animatic. Choose a style and go with it.I need to get some more character designs done that should have been done this weekend but now I have no idea how I can catch up.
Andrew came in with some nice journey designs and while I was waiting I did some character designs for the stamp collector.

We had a great lecture about after effects that explained the programme really well and I’m now much more confident about tackling the animatic.
Tuesday however saw a very angry me as we were put into the Lecture theatre and made to sit through something that sounded very much like the bridging unit all over again. I was furious by the end of bridging and I was furious at the end of the lecture. I did not see the point especially as a lot of my time had already been eaten by stupid migraines.

Conveniently I had to turn my attention this week to essays. They’re very interesting but I feel like I should be doing my film work.
I’ve decided to talk about Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away in my film Analysis. Then for Gareth’s essay I will be looking at how large companies in the industry buy out smaller companies and is this a negative or positive thing.
These two formatives went very well and I will continue my research into the two subjects. I’ve watched the two films so many times I’ve lost count.
Andrew and I have started the animatic and have split the story into three, the beginning in which the stamp is lost, the middle aka the journey and the end in which the stamp collector gives up his precious stamp.
I’ve taken on the end and Andrew has the beginning and we’re still working out how to shoot the silly journey, this is ALWAYS the bit that messes up.
We also went to look for styles for the journey this week. We’ve FINALLY found one we both like and are is going to fit the time period, which is the 1930’s (so I can get rid of planes).
